Position Summary
We are looking for a Maker / Mechanical Practical Engineer to join the company’s R&D Mechanical Engineering team, lead new product development initiatives, ensuring the successful development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in robotic pollination.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design & Prototyping: Lead the mechanical design of robotic end-effectors and motion systems. Focus on kinematics, actuators, and complex moving parts
- Full-Stack Integration: Own the “Mechanical-Electrical” interface. Perform hands-on integration of motors, sensors, and controllers into mechanical structures.
- Lab & Field Experiments: Design and execute rigorous testing protocols for mechanical reliability and pollination efficiency. Document results to drive iterative improvements.
- Infield service support – technical diagnostic, solutions proposing and implementation
- Product development and continuous engineering: Cost reduction, NPI
Qualifications
- The “Maker” DNA: Proven experience in building complex hardware prototypes from scratch. You should be someone who can take a napkin sketch and turn it into a functional machine.
- Hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of systems combining mechanics and electronics
- Proficiency in 3D modeling
- Hands-on Integration: Experience with wiring, soldering, and integrating pcb boards / sensors into mechanical housings.
- Driving license & and a car
- Availability to stay abroad for short periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Ag-Tech or mobile robotics.
- Experience with designing electrical system
- Experience with robotics and controllers
- Experience with OpenBOM
