Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated
Agricultural Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D Mechanical Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the development of new products, focusing on cutting-edge robotic pollination technology. You will be at the forefront of innovation, from concept through to implementation, helping to revolutionize agriculture with smart, field-ready solutions.
You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure mechanical systems meet design, cost, and performance requirements. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full product development cycle, from ideation to production.
- Develop and optimize the company’s robotic pollination technology.
- Plan and document lab and field experiments.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting in the field.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Drive cost reduction, continuous improvement, and NPI (New Product Introduction) efforts.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical background with a proven track record of building functional hardware prototypes.
- Hands-on experience integrating mechanical and electronic systems.
- Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD tools.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Willingness to travel and stay abroad for short periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in agricultural product development.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
- Experience with robotics and automation systems.
- Knowledge of OpenBOM or similar BOM management tools.
